OUR STORY
Grammont Group is a family run property investment and development business with a history spanning over 40 years.
Grammont Group was founded when entrepreneur Ralph Uzel began developing residential property in North West London in 1972. Ralph saw an opening in the conversion of houses into multiple dwellings for letting, at a time when building societies would not lend to homebuyers wanting to acquire such units.
In 1986, the decision was made to expand into industrial property investment. The goal was to establish a secure portfolio of strategically located assets with creditworthy tenants on leases of up to 25 years.
By the late 90s, the concept of long leases in the industrial rents market was thinning, and Grammont Group sought an alternative asset class for long term secure yield. Grammont recognised the value and security of commercial ground rents at a time when they were under-priced by the market, and once again we were an early mover in a new market.

Since 2015, the company has been managed day-to-day and on a full-time basis by Ralph’s two sons: Nick and Daniel Uzel. Both Nick and Daniel have extensive property experience and are former finance professionals.

Ralph acts today as Chairman, advising on various aspects of the business.
